Bounce, Jump, Turn Drill


Who: All Players

How: Start at the center of the free throw line, facing the basket. Turn to dribble towards the elbow, completing a jump stop. In one motion, turn and push off the back foot while using one dribble to jump stop to opposite elbow. Repeat to other elbow (right elbow, left elbow) multiple times, finishing with a jump shot.

Why: This drill is an excellent challenge of dynamic balance. Forces the player to drive off the back foot, covering enough ground each rep to get to the opposite elbow or farther.

Workout: Three reps to each elbow (6 total). Completing 5 turns to the jump shot is one rep. Shoot from each elbow three times.
